About Jenna

Her musical journey was shaped by early tuition from legendary Shetland musicians Tom Anderson and Willie Hunter.

She has released several acclaimed solo albums, most recently One Day, and is renowned for her distinctive tone as both a performer and composer. Jenna tours internationally with Blazin’ Fiddles, one of Scotland’s most celebrated traditional music groups.

Throughout her career, Jenna has shared the stage with some of the finest names in Celtic and folk music, including Julie Fowlis, Dougie MacLean, and the Transatlantic Sessions. Her work has earned major recognition, including awards at the Scots Trad Music Awards and selection as a finalist for the Paul Hamlyn Composer Award.

Beyond performing, Jenna has been an invited guest teacher and speaker with the Benedetti Foundation and has also worked as a freelance announcer for the BBC.

Jenna has recently discovered a passion for writing and publishing. Alongside several acclaimed recordings, she has authored four music books and two children’s books: Telescope, Telescope and Do You Play an Instrument? She continues to enjoy exploring new creative avenues, inspiring musicians and young readers alike.
